Being woman owned and managed has always been an important part of our culture. TOMCO was created in 2015 by Anne Motschull, Tom Motschull and Jennifer Erickson with a vision to change the status quo of retail general contracting. Our main objective was to create unique competition and strengthen the core of women in the construction business. We have been successful in achieving those goals.
Our daily construction operations and financial management teams are led by women with years of industry experience. Women have consistently represented over 80% of our total staff, including our field team. To make that happen, TOMCO created and deployed an in-house mentorship program. Our program has grown Coordinators to Senior Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
We believe one of the keys to project success is the continued advancement and education of all team members. Our licensing qualifier, Jennifer Erickson, holds 14 of the required 21 state licenses nationwide and has passed both ICC and NASCLA tests, making her a likely candidate for the female with the most licenses in the industry. She also holds various county licenses in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and New Jersey, expanding our reach to 43 states.
